Kathryn E. Strachan had no idea what she was getting herself into when she launched her marketing agency in 2020.

However, she quickly found her footing, growing it to a team of 32 and making a successful exit when she sold it.

This year, Kathryn published a book about the experience, Scaling Success: How to Build Brands that Break Barriers, which includes guidance on creating a marketing strategy.

Recently, she met up with the CMI Live team to talk about what worked and what didn’t when developing her brand and what every potential entrepreneur needs to know before starting an agency (or any business).
